"The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me behind still waters. He restores me soul..."
In the bible study I'm doing in small group this semester, this scripture was used in one of the days of study. I've probably heard Psalm 23 over 100 times in my life; in sermons, Sunday school lessons, even songs. But I've never read and understood it the way I do now (thanks to a great small group leader and work of the Holy Spirit). He MAKES me lie down in green pastures to restore my soul. He knows when I need a break! He knows when I've reached my limit. So he may bring rest through circumstances (bad or good) or people that he brings in (or out) of my life. I've realized that even if I don't see the reason or good in the circumstance, I must trust that he knows what I need. And he is going to MAKE me rest; whether I like it or not! His timing is perfect, even if I don't realize it. I LOVE how he speaks through scripture and how you can read something 100 times and learn something new every time! so cool.

Fri May 15, 02:06:00 PMOn a day when I was feeling low from taking care of my husband as he has been through chemo/radiation, I read your blog from Kamdyn's blog. I read it each day. Today it touched my heart and I asked Kimberly who you were and she said Georgia's daughter. So Thank You Kristin - your words helped lift my spirit. (Kamdyn's Nanny)- Kristin said...
Sat May 16, 10:29:00 PMThanks Sandy! It's encouraging to know my posts encourage others. And we actually met at Kamdyn's birthday party last month. (not sure if you remember though). I'll be praying for your husband.
