Freedom. Something that I now know. How often do we make decisions that we know are wrong but yet somehow still make that decision. We let our feelings decide for us. I often have let my feelings dictate my actions, rather than letting God be the sovereign ruler that he is. I'm currently doing a bible study titled Lies Women Believe. One of the lies that the book mentions is that our feelings/emotions are an accurate judge of the situation at hand. But that is so false. If we resort to letting our feelings control us, then we are completely abandoning the Truth of God's word and his promises. Christ made the ultimate sacrifice for us. All he asks is that we sacrifice our feelings for what we know is true. God is great and faithful. I'm learning to let that truth control my life. He is always here for me and He is all I need. The joy and peace that I have encountered by making decisions through God's stength is something that I would never trade for anything. I love how he continues to gently break me of my wicked ways and reveal himself to me through truth. God is so good!
